Himalayan Sheesham Hardwood Tibetan Monks... StoryThis handmade mallet is crafted from precious sheesham, one of the finest varieties of rosewood timber, which is traditionally used in making percussion instruments. The wood is sun-dried, then cut and carved to specifications for authentic and clean sound. The pressure of the mallet produces vibrations that create the resounding tones of the singing bowl. Let the sound slowly build as the vibrations round out and up. Run the end of the mallet along the rim to start breaking it in. In time, and with use, shallow grooves form on the stick, which will help produce better sound and ease of playing. It measures 8” long.
