Your Astrology Forecast for December 10–17, 2017

I have sympathy with those experiencing the wildfires in Southern California. This is a continuing influence of the August 21 Total Solar Eclipse, as several planets aligned with the eclipse degrees. Better news is that the euphoria and expansion of the Jupiter-Neptune trine lingers with us for another week. The Sun, flanked by Venus, Saturn and Mercury in sunny Sagittarius, keeps our spirits high. Mercury remains retrograde until December 22, so continue to reflect and revise plans and projects. The Mercury retrograde period is conjunct Saturn, calling for serious, discerning focus on all aspects of our lives. Next weekend, just before the Winter Solstice, glows with possibility, as the Sun and Saturn form a benefic trine with Uranus and Pallas Athena. You can open up to new creative endeavors and manifest change. Listen to your intuition. Overall, the planetary alignments support the joy and generosity of the season. Be sure to share your bounty with friends, and with those less fortunate.

Take Advantage of the Efficient Virgo Moon Early in the Week

The stage is set for getting a lot accomplished this week. Take advantage of the efficient, organized energy of the Virgo Moon on Sunday to get your holiday shopping done, cards written, decorations up and baking done. We can literally accomplish most or all of our holiday preparations. Mars leaves Libra, where it does not function at its best, and enters Scorpio, where it functions well. This shift fills our sails. A Mercury-Uranus trine colors Sunday brilliant and exciting. However, at the same time a Venus-Neptune and a Mercury-Chiron square may foster uncertainty. Lunar squares to Mercury and Saturn may present obstacles. In the midst of various mixed energies this last day of the weekend, hold to the insight and clarity of the Mercury-Uranus trine, and meet any obstacles in your path with skillfulness and intelligence.

Monday is a peaceful, quiet day. A benefic sextile between the Moon and Venus in the evening sets the stage for a sweet evening with your partner or friends, especially women friends.

Steady Yourself for Restless Energy Midweek

The tide turns on Tuesday with the cardinal, action-oriented Moon opposing Uranus and squaring Pluto, creating restless and edgy planetary energy. Although the Libra Moon makes us languorous, the planetary aspects are a call to action. Things may not go as expected. Mercury is energized by the Sun’s exact conjunction. Diplomacy guides our way through troubles.

After Tuesday’s stormy alignments, we may still feel emotionally volatile Wednesday. The Moon is in Scorpio, tropically, Wednesday through Friday, stirring our emotions. Mars adds heat, and can make us feel strong and courageous, and able to deal with whatever issues are before us.

A Sagittarius New Moon Brings Lightness by Friday

Jupiter conjuncts the Moon on Thursday, a lucky monthly alignment that is sure to give some blessings. Benefic aspects to Neptune and Pluto give us strength and vision.

The Moon is void of course (VoC) all day Friday, so attend to routine tasks and don’t waste your time on meetings, holiday shopping or anything requiring decisions. At 5:07pm, the Moon bounces into sunny Sagittarius. Then it’s time to party! Plan something for Friday night that is special for the season.

Focus on Your Goals and New Beginnings This Weekend

Saturday is a stellar day, as the Sun exactly forms a benefic trine to Uranus and makes a benefic trine with Saturn and Pallas Athena in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. This is a powerful alignment for thinking about travel, exploring creativity and thinking about your goals for 2018. Positive planetary forces are with you. May you think about how to move your life a big leap forward, and to make it more exciting. It is an excellent day for Outlook 2018, a forecasting event sponsored by the National Council on Geocosmic Research (NCGR) San Francisco.

Sunday is another splendid astral day! The Moon aligns with the Sun at the Galactic Center to form a New Moon, and also conjuncts Mercury, Venus and Saturn. This is a golden day for new beginnings. If you have been thinking about more education, this is a time to plan it. Are there hobbies, new fields of endeavor or avocation you have contemplated broaching? How can you uplift your spiritual life? How can you expand the cultural diversity in your life?
