Your Astrology Forecast for March 18–25, 2018

The Sun is moving through the last degrees of Pisces. This week we will experience a big shift from swimming in the deep waters of oceanic Pisces to the land of fiery, let’s-get-going Aries. Mars moves into cardinal earth Capricorn for a two-month stay. In Capricorn Mars is exalted, or highest functioning. Mars in Capricorn is serious about getting things moving and completed. Now is the time to reflect, relax and replenish before the Sun and the Moon start new cycles in Aries. Mercury will turn retrograde on March 22, so put the finishing touches on communications and travel arrangements that may be in the works. The Moon is void of course (VoC) for Monday afternoon and almost all day on Wednesday, so avoid planning definitive activities during those times.

The Week Starts with Bold Energy for New Adventures

Sunday is bold and bright with the Moon in Aries conjunct both Venus and Mercury. Spring forth with new ideas, new projects and new adventures. Seize the day, and set out to discover a new place, start a new project, rearrange your furniture or try a new restaurant. Stretch beyond your comfort zone.

Monday may be bold and exciting, starting with the powerful energy of a Pluto-Moon square, and sounding the thunder of a Moon-Uranus conjunction that ushers in a VoC Moon period from 12:29pm PDT until evening. During this time, attend to routine tasks. At 6:07pm PDT the Moon moves into sensuous Taurus.

The Aries Sun Welcomes the Spring Equinox on Tuesday

The Sun ingresses into Aries on Tuesday, the Spring Equinox. Fire up your engines! A Moon-Saturn trine in earth signs gives grounding and productivity. At the beginning of the astrological year, the alignments support a fresh start. With a spring in your step, get moving! The evening is uplifted by a sweet, imaginative Moon-Neptune sextile.

Although Wednesday gets off to a powerful start, the Moon is VoC for 12 hours starting at 10:21am PDT. When the Moon is void (not making any Ptolemaic aspects) it can be difficult to make traction. It is not a good time for meetings or decision making, as energies do not come together with resolve. It is best to spend that time on routine activities that do not require decisions or definitive results. Such activities against the backdrop of a Taurus Moon would be gardening, cooking and beautifying your home or office.

Get Ready for Mercury Retrograde on Thursday

A Gemini Moon stirs up Thursday and Friday with activity. Curiosity and connection are themes. Mercury turns retrograde Thursday until April 15, marking the first of three of the three-week periods in the year when it is time to review, rethink and revise. Mistakes in written and spoken communication are easily made, so double-check spelling and appointment dates and times.

The astrological weather is stormy due to a challenging Venus-Pluto square, exact on Friday. Emotional upheavals may occur. On the other hand, you can channel your steamy emotions into amorous connections or a passionate, worthy project. Review and revise financial positions.

Expect Challenging Energy This Weekend

The Moon resides in Cancer on Saturday, in itself a caring and compassionate sign. However, difficult aspects to strong and strident planets Mars, the Sun, and Saturn are likely to make the day anything but soft and sweet. In addition, fiery planets Sun and Mars square off. Get some vigorous exercise to burn off steam. Another way to use this feisty energy positively would be to take on a demanding home improvement project. Clean your garage or plant your spring garden.

Sunday is an active day with numerous both benefic and challenging aspects. The aspects play out on a Cancer Moon palette, focusing on home and family. The individual aspects may give vision, irritation, exuberance, hope, tests and challenges, and perhaps a few surprises. Sunday holds a mixed day of energy patterns. Stay open and do your best to navigate the twists and turns of this day.
