Edgy Planetary Energy Makes for a Volatile Week

Your Weekly Astrology Forecast for November 26–December 2, 2018

The Sun shot into Sagittarius on Thursday, November 22, Thanksgiving Day, in the light of a Full Moon, signaling the beginning of the holiday season. Jupiter has just shifted into its ruling sign Sagittarius tropically for a one-year stay, where it will be uplifting and well-functioning. Jupiter in Sagittarius encourages us to expand our knowledge through travel, study and adventure. Mercury is retrograde until December 6, so continue to review, revise, renegotiate and reorganize. Be patient with mix-ups, mistakes, and breakdowns, which tend to happen more frequently when Mercury is retrograde. And, enjoy the expansiveness and the sparkle of the holiday season ahead.

At the end of the holiday weekend, as we prepare for the week ahead, we welcome the energetic energy of a Moon-Mars trine. This is helpful for undertaking the numerous household tasks that need to be accomplished. A Moon-Saturn opposition calls us to our duties and responsibilities. The Sun is conjunct Jupiter, giving vitality, buoyancy and optimism. After a productive workday we can relax into an inspired, joyful evening.

The Week Begins with Edgy Energy

Monday’s vibe is contentious, irritable and edgy. Think twice, or maybe three times, before you speak. A Mercury-Mars square may trigger communication that you could regret. An opposition of Pluto to the Cancer Moon can engender volatile, deep feelings. To make matters worse, Venus squares the Moon and Pluto. This is a day to be particularly conscious of your interactions with others, and how you express your feelings. It would be best to use this pushy, uncomfortable energy to get a lot of work accomplished, rather than to allow it to get yourself into tangles. We are capable of sensibly taking calculated risks.

In stark contrast to Monday’s challenging vibe, Tuesday is golden. A courageous Leo Moon makes benefic trines to Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun, planets that are all three conjunct in early Sagittarius. Mars makes a flowing sextile to Saturn. The planetary alignments make this a particularly brilliant day. Use it wisely. Go for the gold!

Wednesday is another day full of promise and possibility. There are no exact major aspects. The Sagittarius Sun is still conjunct Mercury and Jupiter, still giving strong energy for inspiration, enthusiasm, sensible risks and excellent results.

A Virgo Moon Toward Week’s End Brings Efficient Energy

Get to work and get organized on Thursday, as the Moon moves into efficient, orderly Virgo. Numerous easy and difficult aspects both make for a busy, active day, probably laced with a few challenges. After a cloudy start on Friday, we are empowered by a Moon-Pluto trine in earth signs Virgo and Capricorn, enabling us to get a lot accomplished. Venus is opposite Uranus, and this aspect may bring surprises and changes in social encounters and love relationships.

Volatile Energy Returns This Weekend

The Moon moves into Libra tropically early Saturday morning, forming benefic sextiles of opportunity with Mercury and Jupiter. Libra loves the fine arts. Choose your own Libran activity such as visiting an art gallery, enjoying a high tea or going to a concert. Mercury is still retrograde and dips back into Scorpio, drawing us into deep, dark, unresolved matters for the next couple of weeks until December 13, when it again returns to Sagittarius. A Moon-Saturn square in the evening may make us feel edgy and unsettled about what we did not accomplish while we languished in the pleasures of the Libra Moon.

Sunday is an edgy, volatile day. Lean into your work and keep moving. Venus moves into passionate Scorpio. The Sun makes a pushy square to Mars, and the Moon adds to the troubling energy when it makes a square aspect to Pluto. Use this volatile energy to get a lot of work accomplished, rather than bottling it up and then releasing it in some less-than-desirable way. Be careful about what you do and say, as this strong, hot, aggressive energy abounds on Sunday. Plan carefully how you will release tension appropriately.
