Your Weekly Astrology Forecast for October 14–21, 2018

We are now in a deep dive into our work. Three planets in Scorpio (Mercury, Venus and Jupiter) take us down into sensitive emotional territory, draw us inward, and focus us on research and getting to the heart of matters. Three planets in Capricorn (Saturn, Asteroid Vesta and Pluto) propel us forward toward accomplishing our goals. These planets in Scorpio and Capricorn combine well to provide focus, depth of insight and drive. Much can be accomplished with these energies, and next week they will be joined by the Sun in Scorpio as well.

The Week Begins with a Capricorn Moon, Highlighting Goals

The Moon is Void of Course (VoC) Sunday morning until 12:17pm PDT, so you may as well linger over breakfast and enjoy a leisurely read of the Sunday paper. While you have experienced a playful weekend, at 12:17pm PDT the Moon goes into Capricorn tropically, and it’s then time to get to work. The Moon’s conjunction with Saturn draws us to our responsibilities even more so by early evening. Plan your workweek ahead and get a jump-start on your tasks and goals. An evening Moon-Uranus trine draws out your intuition, which can serve as a guide for what is most pressing, and this aspect may offer up a few surprises as well.

The Capricorn Moon continues to focus us on our goals and aspirations on Monday and Tuesday. Numerous benefic aspects on Monday light the way for good ideas and satisfying productivity. Make the most of this magnificent Monday.

A First Quarter Moon on Tuesday gives us a push toward the goals we set for the month at the New Moon in Libra on October 8th. While there may be some interpersonal friction early in the day, the bumps smooth out in the afternoon.

A Carefree Aquarius Moon Helps with Edgy Energy Midweek

On Wednesday the Moon moves into Aquarius tropically, focusing our energies on social, political and intellectual matters. Aquarius Moon’s carefree, detached demeanor can help us navigate the sharp edges of three prickly squares (Ceres-Pluto, Moon-Venus and Moon-Uranus). The cool Aquarius Moon allows us to not take things personally, and to keep us focused on the bigger picture and the good for all concerned.

Thursday’s planetary energy is similar to Wednesday’s, perhaps simmering with a bit more heat from a Moon-Mars conjunction. Fire up your passions for social causes that matter to you, rather than arguing with friends or loved ones.

The Moon is VoC all Friday morning until 1:30pm PDT, when it moves into Pisces. A visionary Mercury-Neptune trine is the aspect of the day, which may cloud us with confusion, help us solve problems, or inspire creative expression, or all three. Allow intuition to lead the way.

The Weekend is Set to be Dreamy and Magical

Saturday is a super sweet, dreamy day, colored by an inspiring Moon-Neptune conjunction and a delightful Moon-Venus trine. The aspects are poetic, so if you the least bit inclined, put pen to paper and write a poem or an inspiring tale.

Saturday’s magical energy spills over into Sunday. The Moon goes VoC at 4:47pm PDT, when the Moon makes a benefic trine to Jupiter. The Moon is conjunct the seldom-discussed asteroid Hygeia, asteroid of health. This good energy calls us to set intentions and goals to better our health. Aim to stretch yourself with a new exercise goal, to eat healthier, or to drop or a habit or proclivity that doesn’t serve your health. Plan the week ahead before 4:47pm PDT, and then relax into Sunday evening. It’s a perfect night to unwind and watch a movie.
