Single-stem brass vase made of 60% copper and 40% zinc with a matte finish, available in seven sizes
This brass sorori, or vase, is designed with the idea of creating an uninterrupted view of a single flower, so that the elongated visual of the bud is the attraction. Crafted by Nousaku’s master Japanese metalworkers and packaged in a wooden box made from a paulownia tree.
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging, with origins in the Buddhist ritual of offering flowers at the altar in honor of the dead. Dating back to the 15th century, the spiritual discipline of ikebana encourages the contemplation of the beauty and fragility of nature. Arrangements are typically minimalist, emphasizing the shapes and lines of flowers’ leaves and stems as much as the blooms, with the containers themselves often an important part of the composition.
