Tura Sugden Diamond Triplet Earrings

A pair of 18k yellow gold studs with three white diamonds arranged in an arc

Description

Why We Love This

These 18k yellow gold earrings feature a row of brilliant white diamonds. Inspired by morning dew, the reflections of light and bokeh, an aesthetic quality commonly found in Japanese photography, these one-of-a-kind studs are a unique Tura Sugden design.

Story

Throughout the centuries, diamonds have been revered for their mystical qualities, with ancient Greeks and Romans having believed that they were the tears of God and the splinters of stars. Even ancient Hindus believed that these dazzling gems were created when bolts of lightning struck rocks. Of course they make for great additions to stud or teardrop earrings, offering a nice sparkly touch, century after century. In recent years, natural diamonds that show their imperfections have become increasingly popular.

About the Maker

A classically trained fine artist with a BFA in Sculpture, Tura Sugden is a jewelry designer who makes unique and intricate settings that combine recycled gold, ethically sourced diamonds and natural stones. Every piece is produced by hand. As an apprentice, Tura Sugden learned to use a traditional German blowpipe for goldworking, which she still uses today. All of her pieces are inspired by light, shadow and the changing seasons of San Francisco.
