Hand-lettered notecard on thick cotton paper
This notecard, with a hand-lettered word on the front and blank space inside to continue the thought, is a beautiful way to express a personal sentiment. It also has an afterlife: Instead of storing it away, why not frame it? We love the message, too—“Magic.”
Like custom-tailored clothes, this bespoke line of stationary is based on the art of the hand. Each notecard starts with an original painting, which is then photographed. The founder of Aquarelle Maison, Jenny Callentine, then edits the image and creates a design to be applied to a card. Once the image is perfected, it’s printed with high-quality, non-toxic ink on thick cotton paper. The cards are then hand-cut and the specific message is hand-lettered on the front. The entire line is sourced and produced in New York City, reusing paper scraps. Each blank 4.7” x 7” card comes with an envelope.
Aquarelle Maison, founded by Jenny Callentine, is a lifestyle brand based in New York that blends unique art pieces into everyday life. Callentine, who started making art at the age of six, says the creative process is a reflection of her intimate feelings and emotions. She incorporates her original prints into home furnishings, stationary, wallpaper and loungewear. As she puts it, “Each piece of artwork is an attempt at capturing the beauty of life.”
