Venus moves into the center of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction this week. Jupiter has just moved into Capricorn, all to note that there is a lot of planetary energy in taciturn Capricorn. Mars in Scorpio is ambitious, focused, and driven, and much can be accomplished while it is in this sign through January 3rd. Mercury is out of its shadow, so communication is clear and projects can move forward unencumbered. The Winter Solstice will be here on December 21st, and there is an annular Solar Eclipse on December 25th. There are strong demands and great potential for change. an energetic start to the week Monday the exalted Taurus Moon aligns with numerous planets, making for an active day. Mercury moves into Sagittarius, its sign of fall, through December 28th. Conversation flows easily, but there can be a tendency to exaggerate or say too much. This week is off to a rousing start. We are called to community, conversation, and conviviality on Tuesday with the backdrop of a curious Gemini Moon. On Wednesday the Moon moves into its fullness at 9:12 p.m. PST, opposing the Sun in Sagittarius. This Full Moon forms a T-square with Neptune, which is usually a tense energy. However, since Neptune is the planet symbolizing dissolution and all the planets in this configuration are in mutable signs, this energy is gentle and flexible. The Full Moon energy is pregnant with possibilities. Saturn, Venus, and Pluto are in a tight conjunction, and inconjunct the Full Moon, so we feel the need to attend and adjust to the demands of these three planets in Capricorn that call for discipline and restraint, in contrast to the loose and flexible boundaries of the Full Moon t-square. Jupiter is making an applying trine to Uranus, a creative aspect that can result in breakthroughs. hints of innovation and tending to passions The Moon is void of course nearly all day Thursday, so stick to routine tasks and don’t waste your time on meetings or activities requiring decisions. At 3:23 p.m. PST the Moon slithers into Cancer. We will want to have a comfortable evening at home with family and good food. In the evening the Moon aspects Jupiter and Uranus, giving a buoyant, crackling, innovative energy. We may be in for a big surprise! Venus is conjunct Pluto on Friday, a passionate, strong aspect which may have to do with strong plays with relationships or finances (or both). A Grand Trine in the water element between the Moon (Cancer), Mars (Scorpio) and Neptune (Pisces) may soften us and amplify empathy. Attend to the passions bubbling up within you. The Moon is moving toward the weekly tense aspects with Saturn and Pluto, exact in the early hours of Saturday. a social, playful weekend The Moon is void of course all day on Saturday, so do not plan on holiday shopping this day. Sunday is playful, fun, and exciting, colored by a Leo Moon. Jupiter and Uranus are perfect in trine aspect. Unexpected good luck is in the air. Be open to new ideas.
