Hathaway Sycamore: Non-Profit Bracelets

A set of five beaded bracelets on stretchy elastic supports a Kids and Education charity

Why We Love This

A single strand of multicolor beads, plus multiple strands of light and dark blue beads, this Kids and Education charity’s five-pack stack was inspired by the Hathaway-Sycamores Family Resource Center. Bead Relief wants every person who wears one of their charity bracelets to feel empowered as a vehicle for change in the world. Wear it proudly and feel the love shared with an important cause.

Hathaway-Sycamores Family Resource Center works to provide support services for families in its community in an effort to help enrich and empower them. The center offers after-school youth programs, counseling, mentoring and school support. It also provides computers and technology for community use. The center’s most widely used resource is its mental-health-advocacy programsóoffering clinicians, psychologists and psychiatrists to the community. Contribute and raise awareness by wearing this uniquely designed stack of bracelets, each of which includes a signature copper Bead Relief tag.

About the Maker

Bead Relief founders John Gornik and Greg Elias set out to build a socially conscious company that would enrich the lives of others. After seeing the need for support for nonprofit organizations across Los Angelesóespecially those that help less fortunate childrenóthe friends turned their passion for problem solving into a company. Bead Relief started with a single beaded bracelet design. Today, thousands of unique bracelets and sets of bracelets are handmade for each nonprofit partner. Dozens of charities are now recipients of Bead Relief’s good workó25% of each bracelet sale is donated to the charity for which it was created.
