National Coalition Against Domestic Violence: Non-Profit Bracelets

A set of five beaded bracelets on stretchy elastic supports a Human Rights charity

Why We Love This

Three strands of lavender, one strand of black, one of white, this Human Rights charity’s five-pack stack was inspired by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Bead Relief wants every person who wears one of their charity bracelets to feel empowered as a vehicle for change in the world. Wear it proudly and feel the love shared with an important cause.

The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) works to create a culture in which domestic violence is not tolerated and victims feel empowered. It acts as the voice of victims and survivors, working to effect societal change and ensure abusers are held accountable. That means increasing efforts to influence leaders and public policy, boost awareness about domestic violence and offer programs that teach and drive change. As NCADV works to end the violence in all of our lives, one can contribute and raise awareness by wearing this uniquely designed stack of bracelets, each of which includes a signature copper Bead Relief tag.

About the Maker

Bead Relief founders John Gornik and Greg Elias set out to build a socially conscious company that would enrich the lives of others. After seeing the need for support for nonprofit organizations across Los Angelesóespecially those that help less fortunate childrenóthe friends turned their passion for problem solving into a company. Bead Relief started with a single beaded bracelet design. Today, thousands of unique bracelets and sets of bracelets are handmade for each nonprofit partner. Dozens of charities are now recipients of Bead Relief’s good workó25% of each bracelet sale is donated to the charity for which it was created.
