The lunar cycle handcrafted from brass is strung on jute twine
Four moon phases–new, full, waning and waxing–are hand-cut and polished into either a golden brass finish or a silvery iron finish. When we hang this decorative, lightweight garland we feel it connect the indoors to outdoors night and nature.
Twelve medallions, representing phases of the moon, are strung on nearly six feet of natural jute cord, which has a loop at either end for easy hanging. In the spiritual and healing communities brass, a combination of zinc and copper, is believed to help clear away old patterns and bring forth inner truth. And, just as iron horseshoes are traditionally hung for good luck and protection, iron is an element said to energize and shield.

This is one of my favorite things and occupies a special place in my home. It’s a constant reminder of the ebb and flow of life itself and keeps me connected to the Moon.
