A handmade pouch available in four colors that holds a crystal around the neck
This traditional Native American medicine pouch, made of hand-stitched, bone-colored deerskin leather, comes with a removable crystal quartz. Antique silver Ethiopian beads embellish the two 20î long straps that tie around the neck to any desired length.
Native American medicine bags were traditionally worn around the neck to carry cedar, sage, tobacco small sacred objects. Handmade in the New Mexican desert, designer Sessann Orne is inspired by the traditions of indigenous cultures and natural materials. Wearing or carrying a clear quartz stone has been known to open the mind and heart, but the stone can be changed out with other personal, meaningful objects. Locally sourced, soft deerskin leather is hand-cut and hand-sewn. The raw edges are whip-stitched into a pouch and strung with African beads. Available in four colors: bone, white, black and tobacco.
In 2009, designer Sessann Orne, founder of Three Arrows Leather, left a 13-year career as a brand manager and trend forecaster in Los Angeles and followed her heart to the high desert of New Mexico, where she lives off the grid in an earthship home and crafts leather accessories and items for the home. All of her designs are inspired by an Angeleno rock-n-roll vibe blended with her love of indigenous cultures and the untamed, southwest landscape. Handcrafted from locally sourced materials, each piece is hand-cut and hand-stitched, so no two are exactly alike.
