Astrology Scorpio Season Brings Passion, Drive & Determination into Focus Published on October 22, 2018 Article by Cathy Coleman for Bodhi Tree Your Weekly Astrology Forecast for October 21–28, 2018 The Sun shifts into Scorpio tropically on Tuesday, drawing us inward for the month ahead. Daylight diminishes, and we are drawn to our inner light. This month of deep focus with the Sun in Scorpio gives us the opportunity for restoration before the razzle dazzle of the holidays, when the Sun shifts into Sagittarius. Get more sleep. Nourish yourself. Take time for yourself. Read some good, stimulating books. Mystery or science fiction novels would satisfy the Scorpio Moon. The Full Moon on Wednesday shines light on finances. If the matters of your estate need some work, this would be a good time to attend to them. Health is Highlighted as the Week Begins Sunday’s energy is magical. The Moon is conjunct the lesser-known asteroid Hygeia, asteroid of health. This good energy calls us to set intentions and goals to better our health. Aim to stretch yourself with a new exercise goal, to eat healthier, or to drop a habit or proclivity that doesn’t serve your best interests. The Moon goes void of course (VoC) at 4:47pm PDT, when the Moon makes a benefic trine to Jupiter. Plan the week ahead before the Moon goes void, and then relax into Sunday evening. It’s a perfect evening to unwind and watch a movie. Monday morning’s desired fast-paced start with the Moon in Aries is thwarted by Saturn’s square to the Moon. Be patient and attend to responsibilities and delays. The pace will pick up in the afternoon, and we can then be off to the races unencumbered. Monday is the last day of the Sun’s stay in Libra tropically. The Sun Moves into Scorpio on Tuesday, Drawing Us Inward The Sun shifts into Scorpio on Tuesday, drawing us into deep emotional territory for the next month. As darker days increase with the lessening of sunlight, we draw inward. It is important to honor the call for privacy and solitude for the next month. We want to dive deep into matters of concern. This withdrawal is necessary before the bold, social, party-oriented energy of Sagittarius in another month. The Sun makes an opposition to Uranus, meaning that we may be in for some surprises. The Moon is Full on Wednesday, opposite the Sun in Scorpio. This Taurus Full Moon conjoins Uranus, while the Sun is conjunct Venus. This aspect could take us in new and surprising directions. Fortunately Saturn’s benefic aspects to the Full Moon and its nearby planets will keep us grounded, and will help us address our obligations and limitations. The nodal axis squares these planets, creating a tight Grand Cross in fixed signs. There is a lot of energy in this Full Moon. We can move ideas, projects and goals forward in new directions, with strength, dignity and reason. Focus on financial matters over the next two days. The sensual Taurus Moon aspects power planets Mars and Pluto on Thursday. We are fired up for a productive day if we lean into it. We may feel pushed beyond our comfort zone, and it would be better to meet the pressures of the day rather than resist. A Gemini Moon Makes for a Fun and Social Weekend Friday morning the Moon opposes Jupiter, making us feel happy and optimistic. This aspect begins a VoC Moon period from 7:49am until 12:41pm PDT. A Venus-Sun conjunction adds to the joy. Finish your chores, water your garden and beautify your space in preparation for a gregarious, social weekend. Call a sibling or close friend and catch up on correspondence and email on Saturday. A benefic sextile from Saturn to the Sun, and a Mars-Moon trine, enable us to get a lot accomplished. However, Neptune’s square to the Moon can lead to misunderstandings, or missed or mixed messages. The Gemini Moon can give a short attention span and make us want to do several things at once. Go for it! You can get a lot of things accomplished if you just go with your flow. The Moon is VoC most of the day on Sunday, until 4:27pm PDT. This is a good day for a short excursion in your neighborhood to explore something new. Or, it could be a good day to continue to work on your backlog of email and correspondence. Make it a leisurely, pleasant Sunday. At 4:27pm PDT the Moon goes into Cancer tropically. Cook some delicious comfort food for dinner and cozy up with loved ones for a satisfying end to the weekend. The Week in Short Sunday: Magical day. Set new goals and intentions for better health. Relax and unwind in the evening.
