Authors & Thought Leaders Featured Thought Leader: Jill Willard Published on December 17, 2019 Article by Bodhi Tree The Four Aspects of Being & Embracing Intuition Jill Willard speaks about the four aspects of being: our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. While each of these features represents a quarter of our being, in the western world we tend to pay more attention to our physical and mental bodies. Willard urges us to tune into the emotional and spiritual, so that we can tap into our intuition. Beyond the physical body, Willard describes the emotional body as our nervous system and hormones; our mental body as our intuition and aura; and our spiritual body as that which connects us with each other, the world, and our higher guidance system. She posits that our left brain represents our physical and mental aspects, which are overstimulated in our culture. Meanwhile, our intuition is guided by the right side of our brain, which is associated with our emotional and spiritual bodies. By opening up and balancing our energy centers, we give our inner voice the opportunity to rise up and be heard. If we activate the part of the mind that hears and understands intuition, we can connect with the idea that life is a collaboration. Our most difficult task is to calm the ego. If we do this, we can connect spiritually with a world that is much larger than our individual bodies.
