Astrology The Last Days of Summer: A Week of Transition Published on September 16, 2019 Article by Cathy Coleman for Bodhi Tree your weekly astrological forecast for september 16 – 22 The coming week is a transitional week, the last of Summer. The Sun shines in Virgo for one more week before it ingresses into Libra, marking the beginning of autumn, the last quarter of the year. Saturn stations and turns direct, thus amplifying the symbolism of taskmaster planet: hard work, accomplishment, responsibility, and limitation. Jupiter squares Neptune for the third and last time, highlighting an expansion of creativity, beauty, and vision, as well as drawing attention to collective cultural issues such as the plight of immigrants and the opioid crisis. a powerful start leads to divine possibilities On Monday the Moon is in Aries, one of the four cardinal signs that makes a strong, challenging aspect with Saturn and Pluto. Each week we are pushed by this alignment. If we are not in step with the demands of this energy, it can feel harsh. It is best to lean in, get to work, and make the changes that need to happen. The Moon squares Pluto, packing an even more powerful punch. Although the Moon is void of course all day, the industrious energy continues. By nightfall, look back at all you have accomplished with this cosmic push of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. The fixed earth Taurus Moon highlights all things sensual on Tuesday. We can get a lot accomplished at a steady pace. However, expect the unexpected due to a Moon-Uranus conjunction. Neptune opposes the Sun, drawing us into the big picture. Tuesday calls us to make our lives more beautifully and artfully. A Venus-Chiron conjunction draws us into aspects of relationship we want heal, or better understand and express. Tuesday is a glorious day with divine possibilities. shoot for the moon mid-week Saturn stations, turning direct in motion, on Wednesday, after being retrograde for nearly five months. When a planet stations, its symbolic energy is amplified, in this case responsibility, structure, and accomplishment. Saturn now moves toward its third and final conjunction with the South Node on September 27, a karmic alignment, and then toward its powerful conjunction with Pluto on January 12, 2020. The grounded, determined Moon in Taurus makes a Grand Earth Trine with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, and Mars in Virgo. These alignments make for an extremely powerful day for work, for planning, and for moving things forward. This requires enormous energy for lift-off, precision, planning, determination, and skill. This is a day to shoot for the Moon and direct your talents and energies in ways that count. Thursday is yet another powerful, day, open to intention and accomplishment. The Sun and Moon are in a benefic trine aspect, as are Mars and Pluto. Saturn is still strong, stationary direct, and just now moving forward. The Moon is void of course until 1:58 p.m. PDT, when it moves into curious Gemini. Engage in a social evening with intentional conversation. Great ideas and plans may develop. The expansive, visionary aspect between Jupiter and Neptune is ignited by the Gemini Moon on Friday, creating an edgy, generative, mutable T-square. Friday evening’s alignments set another social evening, and it’s a great night for a walk in your neighborhood. close out the week by taking stock of vision and energy The third and final Jupiter-Neptune square perfects on Saturday. The many months that this aspect has been at play have highlighted issues of collective concern such as immigration and the opioid epidemic (the overuse and expansion of prescription drugs). This aspect is an expansive impulse that can work for both good or bad (as can all aspects, especially squares); it is edgy and unsettled. Jupiter and Neptune are both visionary planets, but we are also susceptible to illusion and disillusion. Now it is time to work on matters of concern that have been revealed. In our personal lives we are invited to look at where we are overextended, and reign in our energies. At the same time we can hold to our bright visions for progressive change. The Gemini Moon encourages short trips for exploration and discovery. Sunday’s Cancer Moon draws us inward toward home and family. We may feel easily discouraged or unsatisfied. This would be a good day to work hard in the garden to ward off the blues. Cook up some comfort food and give yourself and your loved ones some extra care. the week in short Monday: Moon VoC all day.
