Story

This aromatherapy candle continues the ancient practice of using natural plant essences to promote health and wellbeing. High-quality, organic essential oils are carefully blended with filtered beeswax, and no fragrance is added. Originally intended to be lit as part of a sacred ceremony, beeswax votive candles burn clean and smokeless. Made in Seattle from premium beeswax sourced from local Northwest beekeepers, this dripless candle has a long, slow burn. Each two-ounce votive candle measures 1Ωî x 2î and has a burn time of more than 15 hours.

About the Maker

Brent Roose got the idea to start a candle company while on a stargazing hike along Washington’s Olympic Peninsula in 1993. His passion for nature, light and sustainable practices have come together in Big Dipper Wax Works, named for the constellation that sparked it all. A Green America Approved Business based in Seattle, the company is socially and environmentally responsible. All of the beeswax is sourced from local Northwest beekeepers, and 10% of all candle profits are donated to organizations dedicated to education, research and sustainability of the beekeeping community.
